Hello everyone and welcome to Amber Sunset Rabbitry.
We are a 50 hole ARBA registered rabbitry (#Z056) located in Michigan's southwest corner in Benton Harbor. We are surrounded
by farm country and when the sun sets over the cornfields, it is absolutely beautiful...hence how our name came to be. We
have been showing at ARBA/MSRBA shows for a little over three years now and love everything about it - especially
all the great people we have met along the way! We have all learned so much.
Amber Sunset is a family run rabbitry. It started
out with myself (Tracy) and my daughter Chelsea, and has now grown to include my husband Steven who has been
bit by the rabbit habit!! Chelsea got her first rabbit, a black satin, when she was about 7. She enjoyed showing him at our
county fair, as I had done when I was a kid. Growing up we raised rexes, so I encouraged Chelsea to try the breed. She liked
the smaller size of the mini rex, so 4 years ago we bought our first mini rex, a broken chinchilla, and we were hooked
from then on. Our herd grew tremendously over the next year!!! One of our friends took us to an ARBA show and the rest is
history!!!!
